Conditional Visibility is a feature within Dewy that allows you show or hide content in your email campaigns based on different conditions. Conditional visibility allows you to easily create a set of conditions to hide or show content to different contact groups. While this is more of an advanced feature, Conditional Visibility allows you to personalize your campaigns and show our contacts hyper-relevant content!
Use Cases
Conditional visibility has infinite use cases! Our customers have used it to:
Show hyper-relevant images to different patients
Show male before and afters to men and female before and afters to women
Streamline the campaign design process for multiple locations
Show different elements on mobile and desktop
And so many more!
Here’s a specific example:
Dewy Dermatology & Med Spa uses conditional visibility when they want to create one large campaign with multiple before and after pictures (ex: before and after pictures for Mohs Surgery, CoolSculpting, Morpheus8, and Microneedling). Using conditional visibility allows the same campaign to be sent out to all contacts, but only contacts interested in Morpheus8 will see the Morpheus8 before and after pictures and only contacts interested in CoolSculpting will see the CoolSculpting pictures (and so on and so forth). Using conditional visibility is a great feature to use when sending the same email campaign content to all contacts, but being able to add a personalize touch to show specific content to the treatments your contacts are interested in.
Step-by-step guide to using Conditional Visibility
Step 1: Within an email campaign, add a new structure or content block
Create a new campaign and drag and drop a new structure or content block into the email designer. When using conditional visibility, you will likely want to have multiple structures or content blocks since some will be hidden from contacts depending on the conditions you input.
Step 2: Hover over the structure and click on the segment icon
When you create structures (for example: pictures of CoolSculpting and Botox), hover over the structure and press the branch button (next to the trash can). See picture below
Step 3: Select the condition
Select a field such as ‘Treatment’ and make it “equal” the treatment of the content block you want only those patients interested in the treatment to see.
Note: The condition must exactly equal the field name. For example, CoolSculpting cannot be Coolsculpting. The spelling, case and spacing must be the exact same as the original condition.
